Hello again & some links to love
Wednesday, April 1, 2015
Hello friends. It's been a while.
March took an extremely sad and difficult turn for me and needless to say, blogging was not a priority. I will share about it more at another time, but today I just wanted to stop in and tell you that I've missed this place. The last four weeks have been so very heavy. But blogging has been a little anchor of mine for almost 8 years now. And it definitely felt odd to leave it silent here in the midst of such a life changing experience. Yet, I just still haven't found the right words to share.
So for now, I just want to share a few (light-hearted) links to love. I keep a collection of these in a draft post and then curate them all together for such a time as this. This, meaning my slow entrance back into blogging.
I did recently publish a post at Thrive Moms if you'd like to check it out. It's a self-reflective essay on where I find my true security, and where I challenge myself to find it in the character of God rather than in the relationships and things and circumstances that he blesses me with.
Elsewhere on the internets...
Many of you know that I am a huge T. Swift fan so I was BLOWN AWAY by this mashup of two of her singles, "Style" and "Blank Space". People are so talented.
I equally love Jimmy Fallon and thought this essay about the comedy that he produces was so spot on.
I whole-heartedly agree with the points in this post entitled "3 Signs of Emotionally Strong Mothers" via MindBodyGreen
And check out this interesting post about a woman who did an internet fast for Lent in an effort to curb her increasing distractability. "The fast has illuminated two things: first, little in the life of considerable value is done fast; second, in our modern culture, we make an idol of the economized minute."
I really appreciated this list of 36 Things I've Learned in 36 Years of Marriage.
Okay, that's it for now. Be back soon. I have a new playlist for ya!
