I started a photography project a while ago that I call "Evidence they were here". It's just my way of documenting the cute little evidence that my children are here. In my home. In my life. They leave evidence of their presence all over my world. I don't focus on the messes they make, but rather the sweet little things that make them who they are. These are the things I would miss if they weren't around.
This project always amazes me because once I start looking for the evidence, it suddenly appears everywhere. And little piles that usually feel like messes start to feel like blessings.
The fun news is that I have decided to start a community link-up and instagram hashtag for this very concept! I would LOVE to see the evidence of your little ones. Over the next few days, take a few moments to snap a few photos of your personal evidence. Show me your kids favorite toys, or the messy beds they leave when they wake up, or the blankies and pacis on the crumb covered floor. Show me the step stools they use to reach the sink when they brush their teeth. Or the artwork they scribbled out while you made dinner. Show me the pile of snowsuits and boots and scarves strewn all over the mud room because they spent hours sledding. Go ahead and put them in a blog post and then come back here to link it up. We can all encourage each other through this fun photography project. Won't it be fun to look back in 10 years to see all the footprints they left that wouldn't have otherwise been documented? Scroll to the bottom of this post to add your link!
And if you're more of an instagram person, go ahead and post your favorite evidence there and be sure to use the hashtag #EvidenceTheyWereHere. And please don't forget to tag me as well! @sheiswoven
Below is my latest evidence. And here are volumes 1 // 2 // 3 if you need more inspiration. Can't wait to see yours!
