Swinging into Fall
Friday, September 12, 2014
I adore Sunflowers in September.
Little man on his first day of PreK!
So we are swinging into the new Fall schedule for our family which includes having a 1st grader going to school full day, and a Pre-K'er going to school four mornings a week. We also have Art class, Dance class, and Hockey in the mix. It's Husband's busy season at work. And I am doing weekly bible study, MOPS, volunteering at school, blogging for Thrive Moms, dreaming and planning for a few little creative side projects, and am still working hard on my half-marathon training. You can follow my little training journey at the Instagram hashtag #BriRuns13point1.
I love how the slow days of summer make way to the busy rhythm of Fall. But I am determined not to over-schedule this family. We very much enjoy evenings at home together and white space to be spontaneous. If you haven't checked out my most recent blog post over at Thrive Moms, you can get a little more detail on my philosophy for keeping myself and my family on track in terms of busyness. It's called "Comparison, Confidence and the Myth of Busyness".
The leaves are starting to Fall, the Steelers have started to play, and I've got chili & cornbread on the menu for supper tonight. Must be Fall!
