Winter // Through My Lens

Thursday, January 23, 2014

When I said I was easing slowly into 2014, I truly meant it.  I have not had any desire to blog lately, or even be on social media much at all.  I think that burnt out feeling is really good sometimes.  It reminds me that there are so many precious moments throughout my day that don't need to be shared.  Thoughts that are mine to hold for now.  And images that are just for me.

For today, I'll just leave you with a few wintery photos, seen through my lens.  Here was my summer and fall editions if you're interested.

And because I can't post without including a song for you... here's a new fave I've been loving lately.

Stay warm friends!

  1. Love the pictures! That cropping really makes for interesting compositions, too. Nice work.

  2. I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes I wish I could keep up with everyone online, and then another part of me knows the Holy Spirit's telling me to find big spaces of being still. Love what you say about having those memories to hold to yourself. Your photos are beautiful.

I didn't have a chance to comment, but I've been listening to Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors non stop since you posted! And crazy fact - Back in 2006 I was working for a hip hop marketing firm and we booked Lupe for our second annual Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival. Oh my goodness, I have changed so much since that time, and you just gave me a trip down memory lane.

Hope you're having a good month!

    1. Hi Kim! Thanks so much for your thoughtful comment. I'm so glad you can sympathize. And that is so cool about Lupe! I am so eclectic. I love hip hop but I can also listen to praise & worship in the same day. It is all art to me. :) So glad you're loving Drew Holcomb as much as I am!
