Day 27 of 31 // Family Nap Sundays
Sunday, October 27, 2013
For about a year now, we have been pretty consistent at family nap Sundays. That means ALL four of us lay down and chill at some point in the afternoon hours. And most of us truly fall asleep.
There's an art to intentionally choosing to slow down. At first it felt a little self-indulgent and unproductive. But the longer we've been doing it, the more benefits I see. So I'm thankful that we've been a bit protective of our Sunday rest and family time lately. The Monday rush always feels a bit easier to take on.
For a bit more on what God has been teaching me about rest this past year, see this post I wrote about how to incorporate a rhythm of rest into your family life.
