Oh Spring, I am desperate for you. I need color, and warmth on my face. I need to open the windows and let in the fresh air. I need to come out of hibernation and thaw out my bones.
In an effort to will Spring to hurry up and get here, we spent yesterday morning admiring one of our favorite places, Longwood Gardens. Isn't it amazing how all these beautiful flowers are already blooming?! Just kidding. These were taken inside a climate controlled conservatory. But whatever, it still made me feel better.
They had a fun Spring Nature Hunt where we just about checked off every item on the list.
Along the way, Sister told me which flowers were her favorite and asked me to take pictures of them so she could paint them when we got home.
A masterpiece, inspired by creation.
"Winter is an etching,
Spring a watercolor,
Summer an oil painting,
and Autumn a mosaic of them all."
I'm ready to watercolor the heck out of the next few months.
